I am fascinated with light and it's ability to both reveal and conceal.
Infrared photography, which records light beyond the visible spectrum, emphasizes this ambiguous characteristic by
obliterating visual information in reflecting light and revealing it in absorbing light;
thereby representing what I feel in a place, but do not see.
I translate the luminous quality of this film into images that act as puzzle pieces to a narrative.
Cryptic titles serve as clues to the meaning of the work enticing particiaption to decode visual clues in the work.
My narratives are often presented in pairs or in cyclical form, as a sequence, balancing the contradiction of stark and subtle observations.
