<table border="1" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="12"> <tr> <td><font color="#000000"> <p><strong>I am fascinated with light and it's ability to both reveal and conceal. <br /> <br /> Infrared photography, which records light beyond the visible spectrum, emphasizes this ambiguous characteristic by<br /> obliterating visual information in reflecting light and revealing it in absorbing light;<br /> thereby representing what I feel in a place, but do not see.<br /> <br /> I translate the luminous quality of this medium into images that act as puzzle pieces to a narrative. <br /> I develop cryptic titles as clues to the meaning of the work hoping to entice the viewer to participate and decode visual clues. <br /> <br /> My narratives are often presented in pairs or in cyclical form<br /> to provoke the viewer to find common elements or to observe the synchronicty that connects my experiences.<br /> Chance and intuition are important elements in uncovering personal myth and are used symbolically throughout my work. <br /> <br /> These are not nostalgic or sentimental images,<br /> but the dark undertones and glaring overtones of stark visions and subtle observations<br /> that encourage further contemplation and discovery.</strong></p> </font></td> </tr> </table>
